I have some pretty interesting, intelligent, fun-loving, go-getter, overcoming, and tenacious friends making things happen in their lives. These are people you won’t see on TV, but you should know. So, I figured I’d introduce you to them every once in a while. And, today, I start with Adrienne Sasson!
I met Adrienne through social media some years ago while dreaming up a project for travel with my son’s school class. She was absolutely open, helpful, and genuine. At one point, I remember my son was not feeling well and I didn’t know what to feed him, she insisted that I make chicken noodle soup with fresh vegetables! Since then I’ve referred to her as “Doda” Adrienne, aunt in Hebrew. This past summer, I called her concerned about travel arrangements I made that seemed to have fallen through. Graciously, she supported me in my endeavor to make things right. It’s been her friendly disposition, avid support for causes, and determination that have had me remain connected to her. I remain committed to attending a Shabbat dinner in Philadelphia with her family!
